Eligibility Criteria
- Students applying to a postsecondary institution.
- Students currently enrolled in a college.
- Special encouragement for applications from friends or family members of clients, and clients (current or past) of the Law Offices of James A. Welcome.
- Open to all applicants, irrespective of their relationship with the law firm.
Application Requirements
- Personal Information
- Full name, contact information, and mailing address.
- The name of the postsecondary institution you are applying to or are currently enrolled in.
- Academic Records
- Transcripts from high school or current college.
- List of academic achievements and honors.
- Financial Need Documentation
- A brief description of your financial situation. (200 words)
- Any other supporting documents that demonstrate financial need (optional).
- Essay Submission
- A personal essay (500 words) addressing one of the following prompts:
- The role of education in fostering innovation and societal development.
- How your chosen field of study can contribute to the advancement of your community or society as a whole.
- The importance of access to education and how it has impacted your life.
- A personal essay (500 words) addressing one of the following prompts:
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Include any relevant experiences, such as volunteer work, internships, employment, clubs, or extracurricular activities.
